12th generation Intel Core “Alder Lake” will also have KF variants. Intel seems to follow the same strategy as with its latest Intel Core processor series, where there are models with or without integrated graphics. In this case, some “KF” models of the Alder Lake series have been discovered, which are equipped with unlocked multipliers and without an integrated GPU.
The leak comes from leaker Komachi, who published a list of 6 Intel Core ‘Alder Lake’ processor models with KF nomenclature.
The list includes the processors:
- i9-12900K
- i9-12900KF
- i7-12700K
- i7-12700KF
- i5-12600K
- i5-12600KF
Intel Core i7-12700 non-K appears on the scene
According to Geekbench, this processor runs at a base clock of 2.1 GHz and an extended clock of 4.8 GHz. The CPU is listed as 8-core and it is possible that Geekbench is misidentifying the number of cores, as it was previously identified as having 8 P-core and 4 E-core configurations.
The revealed values of the Core i7-12700 show that it is above the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, which was not the case in the previous leak a few days ago.
The 12th-generation Core “Alder Lake” CPUs are expected to launch later this year and feature a completely redesigned architecture compared to the current 11th-generation “Rocket Lake.” The new series will launch with DDR5 memory and LGA 1700 motherboards. We are sure that we will have more information about this series by the time it is launched.
