AI automatic driving system Via Xavier SoC

According to this collaboration results, the two companies will develop an AI automatic driving car computer that enables complicated driving training process, autonomous driving. And driving function updates on a wireless network. Based on NVIDIA’s deep learning software and hardware.

Specifically, they will proceed with the development of an in-vehicle grade system for mass production of autonomous vehicles. By using the autonomous vehicle development platform “DRIVE PX”. That is based on NVIDIA’s next-generation SoC “Xavier”.

Automatic driving system Reliability

The next-generation DRIVE PX can handle a large amount of calculations necessary for performing various tasks. Just like required by an automatically driven vehicle. Due to the high processing capacity of Xavier, such tasks includes high processing for driving the unmanned vehicle.

Because this does not also includes the calculation of state of vehicle for a safe course. But it will also perform an execution of deep neural network processing to detect ambient environment. Which includes the recognition of 3D environment around the vheical, self position determination on HD map. Also it shows the predictions of other object’s behavior and position they will take place on the road.
