For some time now, gaming laptops have been on the rise, and almost all manufacturers are bringing out very powerful variants that are capable of any video game. The Acer Predator Helios 500 is a new option that will come along this year with the new Intel processor, the Core i9 8950HK, although there will also be another, more’economical’ configuration.

This laptop will come with two possibilities, one with the Core i7-8750HK processor and the Core i9-8950HK. The notebook’s screen is 17.3-inch with a 1080p IPS panel with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The configurations listed by Acer included only the GeForce GTX 1070 GPU with 8GB of VRAM memory. The Helios 500 is equipped with 16GB of DDR4 memory and 256GB capacity in M.2 SSD format. In this case, there seems to be little capacity to install games, so we imagine that you can add a hard drive for a difference on both models.
In terms of prices, the Intel Core i9-8950HK version was priced at 2840 euros. In the case of the i7-8750H, it will cost about 2134 euros.
The Intel Coffee Lake H series, which includes the first 6-core notebook processors, will be announced starting next week with several notebook models, and the Acer Predator Helios 500 is expected to be among them. It is also expected that this processor will be combined with a GTX 1080, probably with another manufacturer.
