Ubisoft announced that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake is postponed to March 18, 2021. The game was originally scheduled for January 21 next year.
The news came through a message from the studio posted on their official Twitter account explaining the reasons for the delay:
“2020 was a year like no other, and today we would like to inform you that we need more time to finish the game. As a result, the release date of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake has been moved to March 18, 2021. We believe that this is the right decision to ensure that we will deliver an entertaining game,” the release states.
“We thank you for your patience and continued support and hope that you will remain safe and sound during this vacation season.”
The game was unveiled during the Ubisoft Forward event in September after several leaks revealed plans for the remake. We also saw a video of the game running with Ray Tracing, where it was compared to what was previously shown in the new version.
As with the 2003 release, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will also include the original game released in 1989. The title will be released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
We will have to wait 3 months to play the Prince of Persia remake.
