HP Omen 15 will be introduced with Intel Comet Lake-H and AMD Renoir CPUs
The design of the Omen 15 has changed considerably since the 2019 model. According to HP, the new Omen is designed as an all-in-one notebook for work and leisure. As a result, the design has lost any “gaming” aesthetics in favor of a thinner and more compact design. The laptop is 11% thinner than its predecessor and is now 22.5 mm high. However, the system in this new model is now 90 grams heavier and 2.47 kg in weight.
Slimmer and more powerful
In terms of specifications, the new notebook offers a GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q graphics processor (maximum) and Core i7-10750H processor. For AMD devices you can then choose up to a Ryzen 9 4800H and a GeForce RTX 2060. For comparison, the 2019 model was offered up to an RTX 2080.
The Omen 15 2020 is equipped with a 15.6-inch display with a 180-degree hinge. AMD systems will provide a display of up to 1920×1080 IPS with a refresh rate of 60 or 144 Hz. Intel systems are also offered with 1080p 300Hz and 2160p OLED 60 Hz versions.
