Google adapts Artificial Intelligence in its new products

Yesterday we saw many new things from Google: new mobile phones, new Chromecast, a new computer, the Google Home Hub…. but all this is based on the company’s greatest efforts in recent years, automatic learning.

For example, the Pixel 3 camera automatically selects the best shot of a burst and carefully compares the batch to determine which is the right catch. It also features Super Res Zoom, which uses a series of images to provide a more precise approach to a photo rather than relying solely on optical zoom, and Night Vision, a feature that helps illuminate a dark stage thanks to an algorithm that determines the correct exposure for the scene and then fills the spaces as needed. When a call comes in, the phone automatically detects spam and prevents the user from losing time with certain numbers.

The Google Home Hub uses automatic learning to create perfect photo albums from Google Photos data. With live albums, we can select the people we want to see in the slideshows, and then Google does the rest. It uses face recognition technology to take photos of people you know for a shared album that you can stream via Home Hub. There’s also a feature that displays the best recent photos and always makes decisions with ubiquitous automatic learning.

The hardware presented is not innovative, we have seen many similar things in recent years, but the software that manages it really makes the difference, something that has been refined thanks to the enormous amount of data it works with every day.
