GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Official Performance: Outperforms RTX 2080 SUPER

The official performance of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti was leaked on a company slide showing that the next NVIDIA card will be faster than the RTX 2080 SUPER.

NVIDIA expects the RTX 3060 Ti to be 1.4 times faster than the RTX 2060 SUPER, according to the official slide that was unveiled to the press today. Although the following picture lacked details, the bars were measured to give an estimate of the performance.

To take this into account, the graphics cards were tested in standard frequencies at a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and accompanied by an Intel Core i9-10900K processor.

As we can see, NVIDIA aims to outperform the RTX 2080 SUPER by a small percentage. If we go into detail, both the RTX 3060 Ti and the RTX 2080 SUPER have 8GB of GDDR6 memory, but Turing’s model has 15.5Gbps, while the 3060 Ti retains 14Gbps.

The point where they differ perhaps most is their price: the RTX 3060 Ti is expected to cost less than $400, while the SUPER came on the market for $700.

As for the results, we have 3 different groups: Rasterization, Raytracing, and Rendering. The RTX 3060 Ti outperforms the RTX 2080 SUPER in all scenarios, even raytracing, although it has fewer RT cores than the RTX 2080 SUPER (38 vs. 48).

Unfortunately, NVIDIA has not yet confirmed the specifications of this new model. However, the company has confirmed that it will be released on December 2.

The RTX 3060 Ti will officially be released on December 2 for less than $400 USD and with higher performance than the RTX 2080 SUPER.
