AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor is one of the most popular within the Ryzen 5000 series launched in November. This 6-core processor with 12 threads seems to have the perfect balance between price, the number of cores, and performance.
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is overclocked at 6 GHz on all cores
With all the above mentioned advantages, the Ryzen 5 5600X seems to have another surprise in store, as does its overclocking capacity, which can reach 6 GHz.
This is due to the Korean overclocking group SAFEDISK, which took the Ryzen 5 5600X and overclocked it at 5.973 GHz, rounding it up to 6 GHz and even increasing the clock frequency by more than 60% from the underlying 3.7 GHz. Unfortunately, it is not specified whether these clock rates were achieved with air cooling, liquid cooling, or the use of LN2.
The 6 GHz clock rates are applied to all Ryzen 5 5600X cores. SAFEDISK used Cinebench R15 to perform a processor performance test at this speed. It scored 2628 points, setting a record for this instrument.
It would not be the first time that a Ryzen 5 5600X processor has broken OC records, it also set PI records for CPU GPUs, Multi-Core Geekbench 3, Hwbot X265 4K, and many others.
Ryzen 5 5600X is a 6-core, 12-wire processor with a single CCD. The AMD part runs at 3.7 GHz basic clock frequency and a 4.6 GHz boost. It has a 32 MB L3 cache and a TDP of 65 W.
The Ryzen 5600X was introduced at an official price of $299.
