ASUS announces new ZenBook 13 and X507 laptops and reveals when its MR glasses will arrive

In addition to introducing a 65 "gamer monitor, and upgrading its line of all-in-one PCs, during CES 2018 ASUS also announced new laptop models, including ZenBook 13 and X507.

The new machines prices have not been revealed. Also, these are conventional notebooks (not 2-in-1). And these are expected to hit stores in the first half of this year.

ASUS X507

The X507 is not necessarily the most powerful of the line, so we can assume that it is a consumer-oriented device that wants a beauty performance for day-to-day tasks but can not afford to spend a lot on the purchase.

With a bright Full HD panel and 'NanoEdge' technology edges (noticeably smaller than many other products launched under the same category and price). Also, the laptop features a seventh-generation Core i7 processor and Nvidia Geforce MX110 GPU.

  • 4GB or 8GB DDR4 RAM
  • Up to 256GB of HDD + 1TB SSD
  • Wi-Fi 802.11ac

Regarding design, this model gains skyrocketing from the X507. That is bringing a more 'premium' finish thanks to its metal body.

Weighing less than 1 kg (0.98 g) and with a battery life of up to 15 hours, the ultrabook features eighth-generation Intel Core processors and can be configured up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD.

Another great differential is due to its speakers, with Harman Kardon technology.

Technical specifications

  • 13.3 "Full HD Screen (1920 x 1080)
  • Intel Core i5 or i7 Eighth Generation
  • GPU Nvidia GeForce MX110
  • up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM
  • Up to 1TB of SDD (PCIe)
  • Wi-Fi 802.11ac
  • Fingerprint reader
  • Windows 10 Pro
  • Weight: 0.98g
  • Color: gray and gold

Also, the company announced that its Windows Reality goggles are expected to hit stores in the first quarter of 2018 (at least in North America).

The accessory comes with a fast and straightforward configuration, is free of external sensors, and features a 3K display with a refresh rate of 90Hz.

Unfortunately, just like the laptops above, it did not have its price revealed.
